The classification of label tape

Label tape, as a kind of printing consumables, has different classification according to different materials, different sizes, different models, to meet the different needs of use. So in practice, how should we distinguish the label tape?

1. classification according to printer model.

(1) B-series label tape: suitable for Brother label printers.

(2) C-series label tape: suitable for Casio label printers.

(3) D-series label tape: suitable for DYMO label printers.

(4) E-series label tape: suitable for EPSON and KingJim label printers.

2. classification according to the material.

In addition to the PVC and PET people are familiar with, heat stamping cloth, self-adhesive cloth, satin ribbon, magnet, stainless steel, aluminum alloy and other different materials. Different materials have their own advantages and role.

(1) PVC

Also known as polyvinyl chloride, material is quite rigid, with good resistance to chemical corrosion, is the world's largest production of general plastic. It is used for a very wide range, improved PVC also has a more stronger stability.

(2) PET

The molecular structure of PET is highly symmetrical, and it has certain crystallization orientation ability, which makes it has good tensile strength, stiffness and hardness. At the same time, PET has good optical properties and weather resistance.

(3) Ribbon

Ribbon tape, also known as satin ribbon tape, texture feels like silk, soft material, smooth surface, thicker than ordinary tape. There are different background colors, you can print text, pictures and other elements on the ribbon.

(4) Fabric Iron-On Tape

Heat stamping cloth label is a special fiber material without laminated label, texture is a thin transparent film, the touch is very soft. It can be adhered to cotton, flax, polyester cotton, chemical fiber, silk and other materials of cloths through high temperature, also it can be washed or dry-cleaned without falling off.

(5) Magnet

The front side of the magnetic label indicates the item information, which can be edited at will according to the user. The back side is a thin piece of square magnet, which can be adsorption on the document rack, bookshelf, storage rack and other places. Often used in shopping malls, document rooms, libraries, warehouses and other places.

3. Classification According To The Label Attribute.

(1) Standard Laminated Label Tape

Standard laminated label tape’s surface has a strong layer of protective film, make the content of the label less susceptible to the interference of the external environment. Good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, waterproof, features such as high and low temperature resistance, not easy to fade away. It can be attached to most of the surface, including glass, stainless steel, plastic, resin, acrylic, polypropylene, coated wood, and even some rough irregular surface.

(2) Flexible ID Tape

This label is more suitable for marking on columnar or curved surfaces. It can be wound and used as a flag on curved or columnar surfaces to mark various wires, cables, optical fibers, pipes, test tubes.

(3) Extra Strength Tape

Its stickiness is double the standard laminated label, suitable for a wide range of materials (some rough, not smooth, textured surface) and more extreme environments, such as metal or plastic surface (computer case, display, etc.), engineering plastics, shelves and so on.

(4) High Grade Tape

High speed and high precision label tape can be used on pt-9700pc /9800PCN. The maximum speed can reach 80mm/s, and the maximum accuracy can reach 360X720dpi. It is mainly used to print a large number of labels in a short time, such as the production line of the manufacturing industry or the logo with graphics or logo needs to be printed to optimize the jagged edges of words.

(5) Fabric Iron-On Tape

This is a special kind of non-laminated label of fiber material. After printing, the label can be pasted and attached to cotton cloth at high temperature with an electric iron. It can be washed or dry-cleaned for 30 times. The ironing temperature is adjusted to 160-180 degrees Celsius. When ironing, the label is covered with a thin cloth. The ironing words on the folding pages are clearer, and the cloth will not be damaged or fade due to high temperature. Ironing time is best kept in 10-15 seconds to ensure that the paste is firm.

(6) Stencil Tape

It is a special label that leaves permanent image marks on the metal surface after it is ionized by special equipment. Its unique charm lies in the easy realization of marking on the metal surface, without any pigment or dye, suitable for marking on the metal surface of small batch manufacturers of many types.

(7) Heat-Shrinkable Tube Label Tape

With high temperature shrinkage, soft flame retardant, insulation and corrosion prevention functions. When used, pass the cable through the heat-shrinkable tube. After heating with a hot air gun or blower, the heat-shrinkable tube will shrink and wrap the cable. Widely used in all kinds of wire harness, solder joint, inductance insulation protection, metal pipe, bar rust, corrosion and other signs.
